Mike “Pa” Telep

Mike Telep came to the Yukon in 1938. He started with Yukon Consolidated Gold Corp as a labourer in the shop and warehouse at Bear Creek. Over the next twenty-eight years, he worked on the dredges and in the machine shop. From 1950 to 1963 he was a garage mechanic and serviceman and then he worked three years as an oiler and operator at the North Fork power plant.¹⁾
