Tom Tamashiro (1897 – 1951)

Tom Tamashiro was born in Okinawa, Japan. In 1922, he immigrated to Lethbridge, Alberta where he was a coal miner. He arrived in Dawson in the fall of 1950 and worked as a cook at the Arcade Café. Tamashiro died of cancer and is buried in the Dawson Hillside Public Cemetery. No marker has been located.¹⁾
