H. J. Wisner (1830 – 1912)

H. J. Wisner was a pioneer of goldfields in California (1849), and at Deadwood in North Dakota, and was in the Yukon in the early days. He spent the winter of 1911 on the coast but returned to the Yukon in the summer. He suffered a stroke while working on Hunker Creek. At age 82, he was still actively prospecting.1)
