Kathy Webster, nee Lane

Kathy Lane came to Whitehorse in the late 1970s as a gym teacher. She coached gymnastics and volleyball and then settled in Dawson as a Grade 5 teacher. She was a stalwart union member and was part of the group that created the Collective Agreement Defence Fund. In 2003 she was presented with an Excellence in Education Award from the Department of Education and the Yukon Teachers Association. She also received the Ben Sheardown Award for Coaching Excellence.¹⁾
