George Amura

George Amura owned the Makido Laundry on Second Avenue in Dawson and the family lived in quarters at the business.1) In April 1907, Mrs. Amura gave birth to the first Japanese boy born in Dawson.2) The baby only lived forty-nine days and is buried in the Dawson Hillside Cemetery.3) No grave marker has been located.4)
