Arthemise Bell, nee Lefebvre (1894 – 1918)

Arthemise Bell was born in St. Evariste, Quebec. She lived in Dawson with her husband Edward Millard Bell who worked on a Yukon Gold Company dredge. In 1918, Arthemise and Edward bought tickets to Seattle, on their way out to visit family. They and their one-year-old daughter Evelyn and four-year-old son Robert drowned when the Princess Sophia sank in the Lynn Canal. Arthemise was survived by sister Mrs. Charles Burkhard of Dawson, sister Mrs. J. Granger who lived for a time on Dominion Creek, and father J.B. Lefebvre of Flat Creek, Yukon.1)
