Charles Sedley William Barwell (b. 1874)

Charles Barwell was born in England.¹⁾ He came into the Yukon River basin in 1897.²⁾ He was working as a surveyor and civil engineer in Dawson between 1901 and 1916. In 1902 he worked for Barwell-White-Fraser and in 1905 he worked for Barwell and Bond. At other times he ran his own company without partners.³⁾ Barwell enlisted to serve in the First World War in September 1916.⁴⁾ Lance Corporal Barwell was recruited for service in the First World War by Captain George Black and was in England by August 1917.⁵⁾
