Harry Berry

Harry Berry mined underground in the Livingstone area and he made a lot of money. He had three men to a shift, ten-hour days with one day off a week at $3.50 per hour before the war.1) In 1914, Berry drove an adit into the hillside gravels to find another channel. He was in about 350 feet.2) He was an old man in the 1940s and retired in the Livingstone area. The last year he mined was 1945 in Shane's Gulch. He and Slim Foster worked there and built a cabin. No gold came out of Shane's Gulch, it was all on the creeks below and above.3)
