Henry Anson Bliss

Henry Bliss was an accountant and an accomplished photographer. Bliss accompanied Minister of the Interior Clifford Sifton and Major James Walsh, administrator of the Yukon District, on their trip to the Yukon in 1897. Duff Patullo, later the Premier of British Columbia, referred to Bliss’s photography in letters to his father. In 1901, Bliss was the assistant license inspector in Dawson. He is identified as Captain Bliss in two photographs at the Yukon Archives (#401 and #2056).1)
