James R. Brown (1848 – 1900)

James Brown was working for the firm of Sinclair & Brown in Atlin in 1900. He and his wife came from Atlin three weeks before his death and he was bed-ridden with pneumonia. Brown was the first person to be buried in the Whitehorse cemetery. The White Horse Board of Trade passed a resolution to express their sympathy to one deeply esteemed by the citizens of White Horse.1)
