Peter Carlson Berg

Peter Berg was born in Sweden and spent two years in the Swedish Calvary before coming to North America. He entered the Yukon in June 1898 coming from Anaconda, Montana. Berg was a Dawson resident in 1903, and he was living in Whitehorse in October 1916 when he enlisted for service in the First World War. He was recruited by Captain George Black and was in England in August 1917.¹⁾ Berg returned to the Yukon after the war and was a photographer in Dawson in the 1940s/50s. He worked at the hospital and sold photos.²⁾
