Richard Babb (b.1886)

Richard Babb was born in Sydenham, Kent County, England. He was living in Dawson as a single man in 1911.1) Babb was a miner in November 1914 when he enlisted to serve in the First World War.2) He had an undivided half interest in the “Rose” mineral claim on the left limit of Gold Run Creek, with Samuel J. Thurber owning the other half. 3) Lieutenant Babb was wounded in 1917.4) He achieved the rank of captain during the war.5) Richard Babb was captured by the Germans in 1918.6)
