Ron Berdahl

Ron Berdahl began his career as a prospector in the 1980s. His son Scott studied geology at university and then joined Ron in exploration. An exploration company leased mineral claims from the Berdhals in 2012 and found gold-bearing outcrops and a discovery called “Valley.” The claims were returned to the Berdahls after enthusiasm waned. In 2021, the Berdahls launched Snowline Gold on the Toronto Stock Exchange to raise exploration money. Dr. Graig Hart, a founding member of the Yukon Geological Survey, joined Snowline as a director on the Board. The Valley deposit is at the heart of Snowline’s Rogue Project, a reduced intrusion-related gold system, and it is reported to have high gold values and a low ratio of waste rock. Snowline worked with First Nations majority-owned Yukon Seed & Restoration to establish botanical inventories and collect seed banks from key exploration targets. The company also teamed up with the Na-Cho Nyäk Dun Development Corporation and Solvest to install a 27-kilowatt solar generator at its main camp.1)
