Robert Daffe (1949 – 2022)
Bob Daffe was born in Ligny, Belgium and immigrated with his family to Montreal as a young teen. He and a friend hitch-hiked to the Yukon at age nineteen and Bob worked as a heavy-duty mechanic in many parts of the Yukon. He and his wife Lynn Daffe started Tatshenshini Expedition and he organized river trips with clientele from around the world. Bob and Theresa Landman were married in 2007, and they were part of the packraft community. Bob designed his own packraft and they explored remote white-water rivers in the Yukon and worldwide. He loved the outdoors and he worked with outdoor education programs, the Canadian Rangers, Yukon Canoe & Kayak Club, and many more. He loved teaching and had a special ability to communicate with people from all walks of life.1)
