Dale Cooper
Originally from Montreal, Dale Cooper began her dance training in Quebec. She came to Whitehorse in 1982 to join the cast of the Whitehorse Frantic Follies as a cancan dancer. She was part of the original cast of the Rendezvous Cabin Fever Cabaret in 1986 and went on to perform as a singer, dancer, and actor at the Palace Grand Theatre and at Diamond Tooth Gerties in Dawson. She worked as a dance teacher/choreographer with the Music, Art and Drama program through F. H. Collins Secondary School for twenty years, taught at the Northern Lights School of Dance and the Leaping Feats Creative Danceworks. Dale was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her contribution to dance in the territory in 2013. Through it all, she kept her connection to the Sourdough Rendezvous.1)
