Thomas Bowhill Colville (b. 1871)

Thomas Bowhill Colville served during the First World War, heading the 29th Battalion. A letter to the Commissioner in August 1915 questioned the status of his claims on O’Brien, Caladonia, and Greenwood creeks. The Commissioner promised that until the act was passed, his office will not grant relocations to any person who applied for the claims.¹⁾ Colville’s property on the White River was held free from cancellation during active service from 9 August 1916.²⁾
