Harry Davies

Harry Davies, living in Dawson, volunteered to serve in the Second World War and he did not survive it. Carcross people were very aware of the war and a number of Carcross boys volunteered: Bobby Auston, George Sidney Jr. and his brother Peter Sidney, Alexander MacLeod and Malcolm MacLeod, Bobby Auston, and Edward Good. Charlie Isaac volunteered from Dawson and Elijah Smith from Whitehorse. A few were turned down for medical reasons. Dick Johnson (Carcross) and Sandy Wallis (Dawson) did not survive.1)
