Joseph Devine (b. 1871)

Joseph Devine was born in Ireland.¹⁾ He was single and living in lower Hunker Creek in 1911.²⁾ He was a placer and quartz miner on Sulphur Creek in October 1916 when he enlisted to serve in the First World War.³⁾ He was recruited by Captain George Black and was in England by August 1917.⁴⁾ He returned to the Yukon after the war and was on a steamer from Whitehorse to Dawson on 7 July 1919.⁵⁾
