Hugh Alexander Ferguson
Hugh Alexander Ferguson was the son of Scots emigrants who came to Prince Edward Island in 1840. He went to the Klondike in 1894 and worked for two years without reward until he found gold on Skookum Gulch. Big Alex McDonald and Ferguson formed the McDonald Bonanza Klondike Company Limited in London in the late winter of 1899 to work their profitable claims. They floated bonds with the aid of agents Messrs, Morison and Marshall, of Winchester House London.1)
