Max Fuerstner Jr.

Max Fuerstner's father and mother, Poldi and Max Sr., owned the Alpine Hotel and the Bamboo Lounge in Whitehorse and had mining interests in the Livingstone area of central Yukon. Son Max Jr. assumed full decision authority over the family mining endeavors in 1983. He mined as Livingstone Placers Ltd. on Livingstone, Summit, Cottoneva & Mendocina Creeks. In 1984, Max moved his company staff out of the old buildings at Livingstone and into a trailer camp. In 1997, Max found a 35.6 ounce nugget. Max moved his mining operation to Mayo in 2000, but retained 200 claims on Livingstone and Mendocina creeks. In 2005, he planned to move a drilling rig into the Livingstone area for exploration purposes.1)
