Charlie Gairns (b. 1910)
Charlie Gairns carried the mail by dog team and by boat between Carcross and Atlin during the 1930s. Dog mushers commemorate this mail route every March by retracing the route from Nares Lake to Moose Arm and then overland to Atlin. Bill Thompson, an Annie Lake dog musher, started organizing the event in 1975.1)
