Charles Good

Charlie Good was born in the Carcross/Tagish area to father Hiram Good who was an early resident of the area. In the early 1920s, Charlie and his wife May built a cabin and established as a fur farm in Tagish. They raised mink and fox, exporting live animals from as far away as Norway. Charlie also worked with a horse-drawn freight company carrying goods between Carcross and Atlin. After a territory-wide decline in the fur raising industry in the 1940s, Charlie and May started working for White Pass & Yukon Route in the Log Cabin and White Pass areas.1)
