Alfred Cyril Hirschfeld (1866 – 1926)

Alfred Hirschfeld was a professional photographer in Alaska and Dawson in 1898, and he moved to Atlin in 1899. Hirschfeld’s Atlin photo studio was destroyed in an August 1900 fire. He purchased the Atlin Claim newspaper in December 1900 and sold it the following year [or in 1905]. Hirschfeld eventually settled in Vancouver and married Marguerite Ethel Miller in 1902. He became manager of the Atlin Lake Lumber Co. and later moved to San Francisco.1)
