Anthony Holmes (d. 1888)

Anthony Holmes was from Seattle. He was involved in the building of the sternwheeler Youkon. He died in January 1888 at Forty Mile.1) There were 140 men at Forty Mile in the winter of 1887. There were thirty-seven cases of scurvy and three deaths when D. Wells, Holmes, and a third man drowned in the Fortymile River.2)
