Anthony Holmes (d. 1888)

Anthony Holmes was from Seattle. He was involved in the building of the sternwheeler Youkon. He died in January 1888 at Forty Mile.¹⁾ There were 140 men at Forty Mile in the winter of 1887. There were thirty-seven cases of scurvy and three deaths when D. Wells, Holmes, and a third man drowned in the Fortymile River.²⁾
