Barbara Hannah Hanulik (1930 – 2022)

Barbara Hanulik was born in Dodgeville, New York to parents Dayton and Miranda Griffith. She received a BSc in nursing at Columbia University and worked in hospitals in New Hampshire, Fort Lauderdale, and Sacramento, California. She visited Dawson in 1965, met Henry Hanulik, and they were married in 1967. They lived and worked at the Dempster Highway maintenance camp at Mile 41 from 1967 to 1971. John was born in that year, and they moved into Dawson. Barb worked at the Dawson Visitor Information Centre for several years and, after Henry retired, they spent their summers mining at Dago Hill and Glacier Creek in the Sixtymile River area.¹⁾
