James Hadley (1902 – 1968)

James Hadley came to the Yukon in 1928 and worked for the White Pass and Yukon Route railway. 1) Jim started working on the Yukon Consolidated Gold Corp (YCGC) drills and with dredge construction in 1931. He was an operator at the North Fork Power lant before being transferred to the town plant in 1946, and he continued working there for YCGC until it closed down in 1966. 2) James retired in 1967. 3) He was a member of the Yukon Order of Pioneers. James Hadley died at St. Mary’s Hospital in Dawson, survived by his wife Marion and four children. 4)
