John Holstrom

John Holstrom was Scandinavian. He trapped and prospected in the Keno area for over forty years. In the late 1950s, John ran a coffee shop in Whitehorse and became known as Windy John because of his talkative ways. John and Horst Moritz were partners on Sourdough Hill in 1983-84 and John continued to prospect in the area in the area until two years before he died. John Holstrom is listed in the Prospectors Hall of Fame.¹⁾
