Knut K. Helstad

Knut Helstad was originally from Fargo, North Dakota. He apparently made a trip from Forty Mile to Dawson with a 300-pound loaded sled. Upon arriving he checked into the Yukon Hotel and promptly died there as a result of exposure and overexertion. He had formerly been in robust health and was only thirty-eight years old.¹⁾
