Billy Johnson

Billy Johnson was born in the Carcross area and called Skookum Jim, Kate, Dawson Charlie, and Jenny Cook “aunts and uncles.” Billy and his wife were neighbours to Skookum Jim at Dyea in the pre-Klondike days. Billy packed supplies over the Pass with Jim and Dawson Charlie for William Ogilvie, and he later worked a claim at Bullion Creek.1)
