Halmer Johnson (b. 1884)

Halmer Johnson was born in Finland.1) Helmer [sic] Johnson was mining on Quartz Creek in the Klondike around 1910.2) He was a construction foreman in 1918 when he was drafted for service in the First World War.3) On July 4, 1918, his claim on the lower half discovery on the right fork of Last Chance Creek and claims 25 and 25A above on Last Chance were held free from cancellation for the duration of the war.4) He prospected in the Keno area in the 1930s. He operated a jitney in Mayo in 1935.5)
