Matthew Henry Jones

Matthew Jones was co-owner of the Dawson Hardware Company with John R. Grey, a silent partner living in California. They obtained title to the property in 1910 and sold the business to Duncan M. Strachan in 1952.¹⁾ Matthew's second daughter, Jean, was playing with fire and her cotton dress caught. She died of her burns at St. Mary's Hospital in 1919.²⁾
