Frank Lacosse

Frank Lacosse was Metis from Ontario and came to the Yukon in his early 20s. He joined YANSI in its formative years and worked for the organization in many key roles. He was the editor of the Yukon Indian News, was a YANSI recreation director and a trainer for many of YANSI's educational programs. For many years he was a YANSI outreach worker encouraging Yukon Non Status people to enroll in upgrading programs. Frank learned traditional healing ceremonies on the Canadian prairies and brough his skills back to the Yukon.¹⁾
