Thomas A. LePage (1882 - 1918)
Thomas Lepage was born in Switzerland. He immigrated to Canada and worked as a gardener in Victoria at the Empress Hotel. He married in 1917 and signed on in the spring of 1918 as a steward for the White Pass & Yukon Route on the steamer Dawson. He wanted to put some money down on a house in Victoria. The job paid $170 a month and keep. LePage died on the Princess Sophia when it sank in the Lynn Canol in the fall of 1918.1) Many crew members from the Yukon River fleet were going out of the Yukon at that time.
