Emma Miller, nee Skistad

Emma Miller was raised in Dawson. Her parents Nels and Alice Skistad owned the Arlington Roadhouse.1) Emma Skistad received on-the-job- training in elementary education in Dawson for a year and then travelled to Wernecke to teach school in 1932. She was well liked and accepted. She returned to Dawson after the Wernecke School closed at Easter in 1933 and married Jimmy Miller.2)
