Martin Malesich

Martin Malesich mined on Thunder Gulch, which flows into Lightning Creek, from 1910 until 1940. In 1919, John Kinman found galena float just above Lightning Creek, near Malesich’s placer mine cabin. The site became a staging area for the sled pull up Keno Hill. A community sprang up to become Keno City. Malesich had an address at Minto Bridge in the mid-1910s and early 1920s.1)
