Stephen Mooney

Stephen Mooney was raised in the Yukon. He served as the Director of the Cold Climate Innovation hub at the Yukon Research Centre before becoming the Director for the Northern Housing Innovation Centre, Yukon Research Centre, Yukon University. Stephen has served on the National Research Council of Canada Board of Directors and was appointed to the Canadian National Panel to review the Disaster Financial Assistance Program. In 2025, Stephen Mooney was the director of Kluane Dana Shäw Limited Partnership. The Board of directors included Tosh Southwick, Math’ieya Alatini, Jack Kobayashi, Katie Johnson (chair) and Grace Southwick. Their goal is investment to create long-term value for the Kluane First Nation.¹⁾
