Marguerite “Maggie” McIlveen, nee LaRose (d. 1928)
Maggie LaRose came north with her three brothers around 1904. Two LeRose brothers, Gene and Al, died running the Whitehorse Rapids in a canoe. Maggie was an assistant in the Whitehorse post office for some seventeen years and was very well liked. She and her husband, Mr. McIlveen, left to live in Seattle soon after their marriage.1)
