Patti McLeod
Patti McLeod worked in mining administration for the Yukon and federal governments and was employed by the Watson Lake Chamber of Commerce before being elected as the Yukon Party MLA representing Watson Lake in 2011. She served as the Yukon's first female speaker of the Yukon Legislature in 2016 when she was re-elected. Patti was reelected again in 2021. In August 2025, Patti announced her decision to seek the Yukon Party nomination for the new electoral district of Watson Lake-Ross River-Faro in the upcoming election. The new electoral boundaries divided the district of Pelly-Nisutlin between the new Southern Lakes district and the Watson Lake-Ross River-Faro district. Stacey Hassard, representing the old district of Pelly-Nisutlin for the Yukon Party, had announced his decision not to run in the 2025 election.1)
