Sylvia McDougall (d. 2003)
Sylvia McDougall came to the Yukon sometime in the 1970s. She made an epic trip from the Anahim area of north-western British Columbia to the Yukon with horses, a buggy and three of her children. She [and Ian McDougall] owned the Sky High Lodge at Fish Lake near Whitehorse and many have called her the last pioneer. McDougall lived into her late 70s although her exact birthdate is unknown. Ruby Williams is the youngest of McDougall's seven children [grandchildren?].1) The Frantic Follies Vaudeville Revue performed a new country song, “Watch Sylvia Ride” in 2018. It was written about Yukon’s own Sylvia McDougall.2)
