Evelyn Neave (1922 – 2020)

Evelyn Neave grew up on a small farm in Ontario. She spent more than fifty-five years in the Yukon as an active part of the Whitehorse community. She volunteered with the Girl Guides of Canada, spending many summers at the Marsh Lake Girl Guides Camp and at other summer camps across Canada. She regularly volunteered at the Whitehorse General Hospital as a member of the hospital auxiliary and knitted sweaters and toques for newborn babies. She was active in the Golden Age Society and competed in five-pin bowling at the Senior Games. She was an ardent walker. She cherished her family and was predeceased by her husband Max and son-in-law Frank Smith.1)
