Nathalie Parenteau
Nathalie Parenteau was born in Montreal. She arrived in the Yukon in 1983 as a member of a youth group and worked for three months with the Yukon Conservation Society. For a few years she lived in a tent at the base of Nares Mountain and worked at the Carcross Visitors Reception Centre. In her twenties, she went to university and earned a degree in biology from Western University. Returning to the Yukon, she concentrated on developing her artistic side and for the last 25 years has earned a living entirely from the sale of her art.1)
