Nathalie Parenteau
Nathalie Parenteau was born in Montreal. She arrived in the Yukon in 1983 as a member of a youth group [Katimavik] and worked for three months with the Yukon Conservation Society. For a few years she lived in a tent at the base of Nares Mountain and worked at the Carcross Visitors Reception Centre. In her twenties, she went to university and earned a degree in biology from Western University. Returning to the Yukon, she concentrated on developing her artistic side and since 2000 has earned a living entirely from the sale of her art.1) In 2025, Nathalie’s work is being sold in over 50 galleries in North America and is collected by people from all over the world.2)
