Rusty Reid

In 1984, Bill and Rusty Reid were inducted into the Yukon Sports Hall of Fame for their thirty years of involvement and organizing skiing and softball. Rusty played Women’s Softball from 1951 to 1981. She was selected for the all-star team several consecutive years and played at several Canada Games and Canadian Championships.¹⁾

Rusty Reid played fiddle for more than fifty years with the Northernairs, a group she and Bill Reid formed in 1951. In 2003, Rusty and Bill Reid were given the Commissioner’s Award for their contribution to the Yukon.²⁾
