Jack Saunders

Jack Saunders moved to the Kluane area in the 1950s after working as a surveyor on the Canol Road and Alaska Highway. He was originally from Alabama. Jack and his wife and eleven children were the first African American family to live in the area. His cabin in Burwash was built by Louis Jacquot around 1939.1)
