John Sipkus (d. 1939)

John Sipkus was a pioneer wood dealer and well-respected and long-time resident of Dawson. After a dispute over wages that amounted to three or four dollars, D.J. McPhee shot and killed Sipkus who was on the river front at Dawson. McPhee then shot and killed himself.¹⁾ McPhee shot Sipkus from the window of the Yukon Hotel.²⁾
