John Sipkus (d. 1939)

John Sipkus was a pioneer wood dealer and well-respected and long-time resident of Dawson. After a dispute over wages that amounted to three or four dollars, D.J. McPhee shot and killed Sipkus who was on the river front at Dawson. McPhee then shot and killed himself.1) McPhee shot Sipkus from the window of the Yukon Hotel.2)
