W.S. Satterlee

W.S. Satterlee and his wife arrived in the Yukon in October 1928. Satterlee, with experience at the Dyea Trail newspaper, came to take charge of the Dawson News for the winter at least.1) The Dyea Trail was founded by George T. Ulmer in January 1898 and the final issue was likely February 1899.2) Mrs. Satterlee was a linotype operator and, in 1918, planned to be an active member of the Dawson News staff.3)
