Paul von Baich (b. 1934)

Paul von Baich was born in Yugoslavia and studied photography at the Vienna Institute of Arts. He moved to Canada in 1960 and became a freelance photographer in 1965.¹⁾ He photographed well-known film and television celebrities for the CBC and the National Film Board of Canada. He travelled across Canada and into the arctic for photograph landscapes and wildlife. He had published several books with other photographers and journalists.²⁾ His Light in the Wilderness is a photo journal, with accompanying selections from the Scriptures, of several trips, some of them with Robert Frisch, exploring the Yukon and Northwest Territories.³⁾
