George Elsie Wright (b. 1888)
George Wright was born in the United States. He was a prospector and hunter in the Kluane region when, in 1916, he enlisted for service in the First World War at Whitehorse.1) Private Wright fought with the Canadian Expeditionary Force, Yukon Infantry Company in January 1917.2) He was a returned soldier working as a Yukon teamster when he registered for employment with the Department of Soldiers’ Civil Re-Enlistment in March 1920.3)
