Margaret Elizabeth “Maggie” Wallingham, nee Mason-Wood (1937 – 2019)

Maggie Wallingham was born in Dawson and raised in Mayo by parents Rose and Sam Mason-Wood. She was a citizen of the Na-Cho Nyak Dun First Nation. Maggie met Dick Wallingham in Mayo and they married in 1954. They owned the Chateau Mayo Hotel and operated it from the 1950s into the 1980s. They spent their summers at Ethel Lake. The Chateau burned in 1987 and the Wallinghams moved to Whitehorse. Maggie had a passion for gardening, cooking, knitting, sewing, and curling.¹⁾
