Wilda Webster, nee Lechner (1935 - 2003)
Wilda Lechner was born in Vancouver to Louie and Martha Lechner and moved to the Yukon when she was baby. Her mother married Philip Collins who became Wilda’s stepfather. Wilda lived on Stewart Island, in Dawson, and at the Hollenbeck Roadhouse, where she met her husband. She and her family lived at North Fork until 1966 when they moved back to Dawson. Wilda and Newt Webster were married about 1968. Wilda was a tour guide for Parks Canada in the late 1970s, she worked for KVA, and was a custodian at the CIBC. She loved crafts, and baking, and playing bingo, but her biggest passion was gambling at Gerties with her 'extended family.'1)
